Crox Detailing uses a multi-layerable, clear, liquid nano-ceramic coating. When cured, this technology will transform itself on the surface to a permanent, durable yet flexible glass shield. Ceramic coating can be described as an additional clear coat, with 3 times the hardness and self cleaning properties.
Yes, ceramic products are formulated to be safe for all surfaces including your paint, PPF, and vinyl wraps. Ceramic will not damage your clear coat or paint and will not void any manufacturer warranties.
No, ceramic will not Crack, Peel or Yellow. SunCoat's products have undergone SGS testing and real-life testing in some of the worlds harshest environments; the ceramic surpassed every one of them.
Yes, once ceramic is applied you will never need to wax again. Cleaning your vehicle’s paint is as easy to maintain as your glass/windshield. No need for abrasive washes or any waxes/sealants.
Yes and no. After a ceramic coating cures it becomes 3 times harder than paint. The coating is much more resistant to light scratching and swirling. However, rock chips will penetrate a ceramic coating. If you want to eliminate the worry of rocks damaging your paint, consider having a Paint Protection Film (PPF) applied to your vehicle.
Ceramic adds some rock chip resistance, but it can still be penetrated by chips from larger stones and high speeds. The glass windshield on your vehicle will still get rock chips, just much less often than your bear clear coat otherwise would.
No, ceramic will not prevent water spotting, but it WILL allow those pesky water-spots to be easily removed without damaging the surface. Because ceramic creates a protective layer over the substrate, it does not allow the minerals to corrode or etch into the surface that ceramic is protecting, prolonging the life of your metals, paints, gelcoat, plastics, vinyls, etc.
No, ceramic must be applied by trained and certified professionals. This product requires a lot of prep work, strong attention to detail and an understanding of how solvent based coatings work.
VINYL/WRAP: Ceramic will protect your vinyl from accidental spills, stains, oil/grime, and UV rays. Coatings are completely flexible and will not crack or peel from your vinyl. As with all surfaces, Ceramic offers a self-cleaning effect allowing your vinyl to be easily cleaned. Say goodbye to countless vinyl cleaning agents.
GLASS: Ceramic can be applied to all glass surfaces to act as a water repellent.
CHROME: Ceramic does an excellent job protecting your chrome/polished finishes from corrosion, oxidation and discoloration.
PAINT: applying ceramic to your paint is by far the best way to prevent paint from fade over time.
CARPET/FABRIC: Ceramic can be applied to your upholstery to make it stain and spill resistant. No more costly accidents inside your vehicle.
No, SunCoat must be applied by trained and certified professionals. This product requires a lot of prep work, strong attention to detail, and an understanding of how solvent based coatings work.
No, any detailer, dealership, or service center that claims to apply SunCoat without becoming a Certified Installer and listed on Sun Coat's webpage is making a false claim. Please report this shop to our Support Team: (267)-245-7063.
The process of ceramic coating will take between 1-3 days depending on the condition of your paint, the size of the vehicle and the packages you select. The 1st step is to wash and prep the vehicle. The 2nd step is to correct all the imperfections in the paint such as swirls and scratches. Once the vehicle is properly prepped, a body shop safe prep solvent will be applied to the entire vehicle to get to bare paint. At this stage the coating process will begin, and each panel of the vehicle will have ceramic applied, leveled, and stacked to achieve the package you have selected.
No, our trained and certified professionals are experts in the art of paint correction. Our professionals will restore your vehicle to the absolute best condition they can prior to ceramic application.
That’s the great thing about ceramic products. Water and a mild soap or dish soap will do the trick. Good bye harsh chemicals, clay bars, etc. Even glass cleaner or a No Rinse lubricant/wash will work to quickly and easily maintain your coating.
No, ceramic products are the permanent replacement to wax and sealants. You can throw those products in the trash!
Yes. To maintain your warranty, you need to attend an annual service. This is to ensure ceramic performs properly for the entire length of the warranty. If an annual inspection is missed, the warranty could be voided.
You should wait 14 days before the 1st wash to allow the solvents to outgas and fully cure. If you notice that your car gets water spots, bird droppings, tree sap, etc. during these two weeks immediately remove it following our care instructions. Keep in mind the coating is softer during the 14 days so work on the paint very gently.
Give your beloved car a fresh start! Detail it with a new ceramic coating by the best of the best in town! But what exactly is a ceramic coat? A nano-ceramic coating system is an ultra-durable layer of glass covering every inch of your vehicle’s surface. This acts as a barrier between your paint and harmful elements on the road.
Think of it as a sacrificial layer on your car’s surface to safeguard the paint and clear coat underneath. Since Bucks County is an area where winter ice and snow are prominent, this protective layer will make those harsh chemicals easier to remove due to the coating’s hydrophobic properties. Moreover, it acts as an extra shield from environmental pollutants, tree sap, scratches from road salt, grime, dirt, industrial fallout dust, binding brake dust, and anything else that tries to ruin your car’s paint job. Overall, it helps your beloved ride stay cleaner longer!
While we know that you sit on the interior most of the time, the exterior also requires extra care. Our ceramic coatings last up to 10 years with proper maintenance and care. We use the finest pro-grade 9H professional ceramic coatings by SunCoat Ceramics. This nano-technology will add incredible levels of depth to the paint along with reliable water repellency. Crox Detailing will apply the coating to the vehicle’s paint, glass, plastic trim, glass windows, rims and even interior leathers or fabrics if asked for.
The application process can be very tedious, that is why Crox Detailing is here to take care of you! Crox Detailing also knows that adequate preparation is critical for a long-lasting coating on top of having the right equipment. That is why before every application, we make sure to understand everything about your car.
The first step is to resolve the car’s paint. We spend a lot of time correcting a vehicle’s exterior before applying the ceramic coat. When needed, we perform paint correction and address any minor scratches, unwanted marks, and faded paint on the surface before applying. The vehicle’s surface must be perfect before applying the base coat as the imperfections will be very hard to correct after the application of the first layer.
We use the finest pro-grade 9H professional ceramic coatings by SunCoat Ceramics. This nano ceramic coating product will add incredible levels of depth to the paint along with unbelievable water & dirt repellency, a rugged durability measured in years, and a crazy glossy shine. This ceramic coating product is applied to the vehicle’s paint, plastic trim, glass windows, rims and can even be added on top of paint protection film. Ceramic coatings will last 10 years with proper maintenance. The price of the coating will vary depending on the condition of the vehicle’s paint, color of vehicle, and the size of vehicle. You can spend anywhere from $599-$2,500+ depending on the scope of the project.
For maintaining ceramic coatings we recommend you wash your car regularly utilizing a hand wash. Ceramic coatings on your vehicle require at least once a month maintenance for maximum protection and an enhanced gloss finish. We do not recommend you take your car through a tunnel car wash system as it will put swirl marks in the ceramic coating, ruin the paint job, and undermine the integrity of the coating itself. We offer one free monthly maintenance cleaning for all of our customers who get a ceramic coating applied by Crox Detailing.
We recommend to wash your car regularly for proper maintenance. If you're too busy to maintain the vehicle yourself, Crox Detailing provides recurring monthly exterior and interior detailing services, check them out here!)
When we finalize the correction process, our Crox Detailing technicians apply the SunCoat ceramic coating by hand with a one-inch soft foam applicator. We top off this coat with a special nano-ceramic sealant composed of silicon dioxide and titanium dioxide to give your car an extra layer of immunity. The last step is to ensure the ceramic coat cures for 6 hours to achieve a hydrophobic surface and a permanent bond.
A properly applied ceramic coat will show water beads (a phenomenon that occurs on the body paint when water droplets form on top of a coated surface instead of sticking). We make sure the coating is maintained in a controlled environment during the curing time to ensure proper bonding to the car’s paint.
Annual Inspections must be carried out by an approved applicator, within 30 days before or after the anniversary date of the last service to maintain the warranty. Failure to undertake an annual inspection within the required period will void the warranty. A fee of $150-$250 will be charged for the Annual Inspection, which includes – Exterior Wash, Decontamination, Application of Topcoat, and Inspection. Warranty terms can be found here (Click Here).
Ceramic coatings offer the best protection from environmental harm on the market and install exceptional hydrophobic properties (water repellency). Coatings help to protect against pollutants, road grime, salt, bird droppings, bug splatters, and other common contaminants as well as guard your paint from harsh winter ice/snow removal chemicals & summer sun damage. Once applied, the depth of color in your vehicle’s paint will be severely enhanced. Furthermore, the fine points on your car, like the headlights & emblems will be properly protected from environmental harm. Not only do ceramics protect your car, but they also make future clean-up jobs super easier (all you need to do is a quick rinse).
